Plowing on through...

We're almost to week 7! Thirty-three more weeks to go. Gosh, that sounds like a long time! Not much is changing on my end. My "morning sickness" is officially worse at night, although, I'm pretty much a little nauseous all the time. I've discovered salt and pepper popcorn is my current morning sickness cure. Becca and I are pretty much back on our work out routine (the first time since I found out I was pregnant). It's actually been making me feel a bit better. I'm sleeping pretty well, so when I wake up in the morning, I feel rested and ready to go to the gym. I guess that's one symptom that actually improved things for me!

After an exhausting week with the kiddos and a lack of open appointments, I've decided to just take next Tuesday off for our appointment. So, no change there. I just have to make sure to keep my appointments before or after school from now on.

Gross... I just realized the title of my post... Probably too graphic of a title for a pregnancy blog.

Anyway, baby Winn is apparently going to develop three pairs of kidneys but only one pair will be used. At this point, it sounds like two of the pairs are being developed. Baby is C shaped and has tiny depressions where the eyes and ears will form. The nerve that takes visual images to the brain is also forming. Baby Winn's liver is creating red blood cells and arms and legs are starting to form, although they look more like paddles. Here comes the next food reference. Baby Winn is now about the size of a blueberry!

P.S. Most votes are that it's a boy. Becca thinks that because she saw a pink Apple sign while she was talking about the baby, that it's a girl. I''ll keep you posted as to if Apple send us any more signs.

  1. I prefer to think of the baby's arms as angel wings rather than paddles :-)
